End of an Era

Dear Career Reboot Group Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that we are shutting down this program.

The Career Reboot Group has been in operation for 5 years and has had over 60 reboot events.  Our topics covered everything from Resume Workshops to Working with Headhunters, from Interview Strategies to the Power of Public Speaking, from LinkedIn workshops to Volunteering, from Networking to Starting Your Own Business and let's not forget Applying to the Federal Government, Tips on applying to the City of Ottawa, and One-on-One Coaching. We expanded to 3 different locations and have had over 400 participants, with more than 40 speakers and coaches.

We are extremely proud of the success of Career Reboot, but, for several reasons, had decided that it's time to shut the program down.  I will never say never, but there will be no more Reboot events for the foreseeable future.  We will keep the website active and will forward any upcoming events through our emails.

Some Upcoming Event with the Library:
   •  Maximize Your Job Search,
      December 11, 5:45 pm

  https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/event/maximize-your-job-search-workshop

   •  Interview Preparation and Practice,
      Wednesday, January 15, 5:45 pm

https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/event/interview-preparation-and-practice-workshop

For guidance in how to go about a pro-active job search, there are now tips and resources to explore on the Ottawa Public Library website:
•  Job Searching Guide
•  Guide de  recherche d’emploi

Thank you for all the support and encouragement.
