Have you ever considered Volunteering?
Join us in welcoming Eric Shirley from Volunteer Ottawa for an open discussion on volunteering.

In this session we will look at volunteering in a Canadian context and the 5w’s of volunteering.  We will then discuss the opportunity to develop and maintain both soft and hard skills via volunteering as a technique to finding paid employment.  Lastly, the presentation will take you through Volunteer Ottawa’s opportunities page highlighting the many ways you can find opportunities with our member organizations.

Volunteer Ottawa’s mandate:
Volunteer Ottawa builds community by supporting the not-for-profit sector through education, fostering collaboration, and promoting volunteerism.  Through our web portal, workshops and training programs, we assist agencies in reducing the cost of acquiring, training and retaining volunteers who, in turn, change the lives of the people they serve.  VO hosts the largest database of volunteer opportunities in the city thus ensuring that organizations have the volunteers they need and volunteers find the opportunities they are seeking.
Empowering and connecting volunteers - Strengthening and building our community

Bring your Questions and get
